In order to keep up with the changing environment of Unified Communications, we are installing a new lab in addition to our current Avaya, Microsoft and AVST labs. This lab will have all the latest releases of all the current UC products and will allow us to expand our offerings to the market place.  In addition to Communication Manager, here is a list of the other components that will be installed and a brief description of their capabilities:

Short answer: Cost savings and Reachability allowing for increased productivity and customer satisfaction.

Avaya One-X Mobile is a unified communication product allowing Smart Phone access to corporate telephone system functions.

Integration with Avaya Modular Messaging allows for a smart phone to see status of voicemail called Visual Voicemail. Visual voicemail includes items like length of the message, time of day the message was left, Caller ID of the message, as well as the ability to listen to these messages over the smart phone without ever calling in.
